 At Statewide Traffic Control, we believe an effective management of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requires a system that will continuously seek to identify any potential workplace hazards, assess the risks associated with them, and implement and review control measures to ensure they are effective in eliminating or reducing the risk. We acknowledge that regardless of how technically correct or advanced an OHS system is within a company, it can only assist in reducing workplace illness and injury. Management at Statewide Traffic Control understands that under the OHS Act, we have a duty to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all of our workers as far as is practicable.
 The OHS Act and associated legislation specify certain risks or hazards that must be guarded against. However, there are many other risks that are not specifically covered. It is up to us to identify, assess and control these too. To ensure the safety of our employees, we consider in advance, the jobs to be performed by our employees. We take due care to inform, train and protect them from hazards, and should a hazard be identified, we undertake the necessary action.
Personal Protective Equipment - PPE
 Statewide Traffic Control will ensure all employees commencing onsite duties will be suitably attired to meet legislative requirements for their specific tasks. Articles such as reflective vests, stop/slow bats, headwear and lime green safety shirts will be provided at company expense. Our uniform consists of lime green day glow safety shirts for day operations and white "Class 1" retro reflective overalls for night operations.
Environmental Management
We have a genuine commitment to protecting the environment and we strive to eliminate the environmental impact of our activities.
 Our goal is to provide maximum practicable protection to the environment by meeting and exceeding legal and regulatory requirements. Management of the environment is planned for each site and addresses client and authority requirements, as well as specific methods to minimise environmental impact of our activities both in and around the site. At all times waste is minimised. At Statewide Traffic Control, we regard our environmental responsibilities as a vital and integral part of our everyday operations, and we are committed to maintaining the highest practicable standards.
